Let's hear about the journey of building MyUIC Neo, an unofficial student portal app created with modern web technologies, including Progressive Web Apps (PWAs). The app's impact on the UIC community and what's next for it. Our speaker is Ned Palacios, a computer science student and polyglot software developer based in Davao City, Philippines. An open source enthusiast, he is passionate about building stuff on the web and on technologies that help shape developer experiences. He is also a former lead at Google Developer Student Clubs - UIC, one of the founders of Davao Interschool Computer Enthusiasts (DICE), and an occasional volunteer of tech-related events in the City.
